Faribault, MN celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon cutting of the new Viaduct Park facility—a 6,239-square-foot, year-round community space featuring a warming shelter, gathering areas, and a modern blend of stone, brick, and metal.
The event highlighted the building’s welcoming plaza, complete with seating and a fire feature, and showcased the new steel-framed entry canopy and pergola. Community members, project partners, and families turned out to mark the occasion.
Courtney, who was part of the project team, attended with her family and enjoyed seeing the space come to life. The kids bounced between the activities—literally—spending time in the bounce houses. Later settling in for the outdoor showing of Wicked. It was a fun and fitting way to celebrate the opening.
The ribbon cutting offered a first glimpse of what Viaduct Park is set to become: a vibrant hub for gatherings, events, and everyday community connection in the heart of Faribault.
