Project Details
The Applied Science and Technology Center consolidates North American research and test laboratory capabilities with corporate headquarters into a cohesive 170,000-square-foot campus within two historic buildings, each more than a century old. Our services encompassed long-range programming, master planning, fit planning, and complete design and documentation for the adaptive reuse of these heritage structures.
The facility integrates 80,000 square feet of research and development laboratories supporting new product development, 70,000 square feet of office space designed for efficiency, 15,000 square feet of conference rooms and training facilities supporting collaboration and education, and a 5,000-square-foot main lobby and corporate branding center celebrating company history and achievements. The design seamlessly merges modern functionality with the character and dignity of historic architecture. Delivered in two phases, the project stands as a model for how heritage structures can be transformed into contemporary research and innovation campuses.
